Spin My Gold - Lacey Carter Andersen

Spin My Gold: A Reverse Harem Rumpelstiltskin RetellingSpin My Gold: A Reverse Harem Rumpelstiltskin Retelling by Lacey Carter Andersen
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Fairy tales are full of stories where someone sells their first born for fame, riches and the love of the prince, but what happens to the first born?

Alexis's mother sold her ro Rumplestiltskin for fame and riches, but she escaped rather than accept her fate. Now she's back and faced, not with Rumple, but his three sons. They've reluctantly taken over the family business, which includes Alexis among its assets.

I love fairy tale retellings and reimaginings, and this one is a unique twist! It's first in a series, and I'm looking forward to seeing where it goes next!

Calluna: A Christmas present for Klaus - Jewels Arthur

Calluna: A Christmas Present for Klaus: A Silver Springs Spell Library Christmas BonusCalluna: A Christmas Present for Klaus: A Silver Springs Spell Library Christmas Bonus by Jewels Arthur
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This is one of 2 Christmas novellas released in the Silver Springs neighbourhood this year.

This is a short catch up with Calluna and her men, along with Reg and Lars from Fangs Bear'd. They're quickly realising that 5 of them, plus an assorted menagerie of magical animals don't fit very well in a small flat, so the guys decided to persuade Calluna to move.

It's a short, hot story, but I love catching up with the inhabitants of Silver Springs.

Lupine: Bah Humbug! - Hanleigh Bradley

Lupine: Bah Humbug!Lupine: Bah Humbug! by Hanleigh Bradley
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This is one of 2 Christmas novellas released in the Silver Springs neighbourhood this year.

We're back with Lupine and her mafia in the orphanage. All the kids are excited for Christmas, but Rossi, one of her mates is less than enthusiastic!

It's interesting reading the tale solely from Rossi's POV, why he's not a fan of the holiday season, and how he grows to love it.

It's a short, sweet read, but it's always good to revisit old friends in Silver Springs, and it also introduces the lead for Hanleigh's next Silver Springs book!

Karma's Spell - LA Boruff, Helen Scott, Lacey Carter Andersen

Karma's SpellKarma's Spell by L.A. Boruff
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This book is a little different from my normal type, but I loved it!

It's a slow burn romance, and most importantly for me, the heroine is 40-something! Finally! A FMC I can relate to!

Emma's life is falling apart, thanks to her now ex husband, and she returns to the small town where she grew up to discover that nothing - the town, her friends, even herself - is quite as she knew it as a teen.

There's friends to reconnect with, lingering looks with a high school crush, and a mystery to solve, all while discovering who she actually is.

This is a great start to a new series, and I'm looking forward to what comes next!
