Sand and Stars - Winged Mates #1

Sand and Stars (Winged Mates #1)Sand and Stars by Olivia Hart
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Fun Fantasy tale

High fantasy romance, with elves, faes and prophecies, alongside a forbidden romance. This is the second series I've read from this author, and she's fast becoming a favourite! Can't wait for the second book in the duet!

Dark Hauntings - Paranormal Times #1

Dark HauntingsDark Hauntings by C.C. Solomon
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Action Packed

This is the first book I've read by this author, and as the first book in the series, seemed a good place to start. And it is. However, it's worth noting that it's a spin off from another series, and there's also a prequel novella for the two main characters. While it can be read without these, I did feel at a few points that I'd have benefited from having read them. The tale is action packed and keeps you guessing what's happening next. I'm looking forward to the next one in the series and will also go back for the previous books!

Outlaw: The Pack Prophecy #2

Outlaw (The Pack Prophecy #2)Outlaw by R.L. Caulder
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Action packed

Get ready for a bumpy ride! The action starts at the beginning - no gentle recap of the last book, but straight into the thick of it - and continues til the very end of the book! We meet a lot of new characters and learn a lot of the differences between the pack our MCs were raised in, and how most packs are run. We also learn a lot more about the prophecy and its implications for Kira. I can't wait for the next book to see how it all ends!

Moonlit Agate - Moonlit Falls #7

Moonlit Agate (Moonlit Falls, #8)Moonlit Agate by Katherine Isaac
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Loved it!

We've seen Aggy flitting about in some of the other Moonlit Falls books, now it's her time to shine! She's settled into Moonlit Falls and is working on her dream job when she finds her 3 mates - a blood witch, his python shifter familiar, and her very human friend who doesn't know about the supernatural. Our earth sprite has to deal with a tree at the centre of town, which seems to be connected with the wards glitching. I loved these characters, they were fun and relatable, and I always love seeing human reactions to discovering their friends' secret lives!

Moonlit Lazulite = Moonlit Falls #7

Moonlit Lazulite (Moonlit Falls, #7)Moonlit Lazulite by K.Z. Merlin
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Latest tale from Moonlit Falls

The latest visit to Moonlit Falls introduces the human Lazulite, who discovers that the supernatural is real, and that she has 3 fated mates. Her reactions are great - too many heroines take finding out about the supernatural in their stride, but I think I'd be more likely to react like Laz! The guys' reactions are great, too - all unique and all understandable. Unusually for these books, this one has something of a cliffhanger - the harem is full set up, but so is a follow up book! Can't wait!

Love In The Stars - Signs of Love #1

Love in the Stars (Signs of Love #1)Love in the Stars by Jenn D. Young
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Sweet, steamy and fun

This was a sweet, steamy story. After flirting for a year, friends sign Ashton and Christian up for a new dating app, which is the nudge they need to take it to the next step. The characters are fun and realistic, they both have baggage to deal with, which provides the central conflict in the story. There are also some fun side characters, who I hope get their own stories and HEAs!

Moonlit Jasper - Moonlit Falls #6

Moonlit Jasper (Moonlit Falls, #6)Moonlit Jasper by Dolly Kalasin
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Loved it!

I loved this approach to Jasper's character, she's totally not who or what people expect. Her mates are a fantastic mix, one of whom ties into previous books in the series. Another reappearing character gets their just desserts, although I don't think we've seen the last of them! I'm looking forward to reading Melody's story, too!

Elemental Awakened - Of Demons and Dragons #1

Elemental Awakened (Of Demons and Dragons #1)Elemental Awakened by Helen Scott
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Great start to the series

So, I first read this when it was released as Water a few years ago. However, it has now been updated and re-release as the start of a new series, and if possible I enjoyed it even more this time round! The basic premise remains, Tessa is thought to be the key to saving the four realms and Earth. She's tough and vulnerable as she tries to accept what the guys are telling her, and align it with her past. The guys are all unique characters, while still fitting with their elemental tropes. I loved this, and can't wait to follow the story to its conclusion!

Corrupted - Bloodfire Sage #2

Corrupted (Blood Fire Saga: Hades and Persephone #2)Corrupted by Bella Klaus
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Great twist on the tale

This continues to be a unique version on the Hades and Persephone stories. Kora spends the books trying to figure out who she is, and who she is to Hades as well as trying to fight off the threat to their faction of Hell. The action - in and out the bedroom - is non-stop, and we get as many questions as we do answers. I'm looking forward to seeing how the tale ends!

Moonlit Citrine - Moonlit Falls #5

Moonlit Citrine (Moonlit Falls, #5)Moonlit Citrine by Emmy Dee
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I want chicken nuggets now!

Citrine is a fun heroine, and I appreciate her chicken nugget addiction! Her mates are a good mix, couple of old friends. couple of new guys, and a good mix of supernatural types. I loved getting to find out more about Dash, who has appeared in a few other books - I hope he gets his own tale eventually! I'm loving this series!

Omega Deceived - Claiming Her Alphas #2

Omega Deceived (Claiming Her Alphas, #2)Omega Deceived by Romy Lockhart
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Enjoying this series

I'm definitely enjoying a series where the harem don't all fall into one happy group straight away! They're still all plotting how to get Sloane to themselves! Sloane's storyline - her past, her Master and her future with her mates - is cleverly woven with trouble within the town. And although it seems to be a separate issue from Sloane, I can't help thinking that the town's history and Sloane's are more closely linked than they realise! The book ends almost on a happy for now, but it feels very much like the calm before the storm!

The Princess and her Alphaholes

The Princess & Her AlphaholesThe Princess & Her Alphaholes by Renee O'Roark
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

My TBR list just exploded!

I love anthologies like this! It's a great chance to find new authors, as well as reading new stories from ones I already love. There's a great mix of stories, mostly paranormal, with at least one contemporary from Melissa Adams. They're mostly prequels and teasers, and my TBR list has grown from reading them! Ours to Keep, by Willow Hayes has an innocent on the run, and several alpha males ready to protect her from her past. Emerald Rising from Bailey Grayson features angels and demons and sets up an academy series I'm looking forward to trying, and Escape from the Dark by Jenn D Young and Aspen Black features another girl on the run who finds protective mates - and promises to be very hot based on the teaser! Sworn by M Sinclair is notably not RH, but that doesn't stop it setting the book up brilliantly. As ever with anthologies, I'll dip in and out over the next few weeks, but wanted to share what I'd read already!

Crescent Moon Castle - Elemental Touch #2

Crescent Moon Castle (Elemental Touch, #2)Crescent Moon Castle by Kat Blak
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

So following on from the revelation at the end of book 1 about who - and what - Mysa really is, and she and her men have to deal with what this means for them all. Of course, the guys have a far better idea than she does, but they are awful at communicating this to her - every time they try, they say the wrong thing and she explodes.

I really felt for Mysa, she was getting so many things to deal with, and everyone assumed she was ready to fall right into place without talking to her about it.

And, just as we looked to be heading for happy ever after, well, yeah - Kat Blak even admits that she knows we'll be after her, but promises a happy ending eventually!

Roll on book 3!
