Midlife Shifter Unexpected -Cougar Creek Coven #2

Midlife Shifter Unexpected: A Paranormal Women's Fiction Novel (Cougar Creek Coven Book 2)Midlife Shifter Unexpected: A Paranormal Women's Fiction Novel by Melle Amade
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Loving the series so far

This is the second in the series of quirky midlife romances, and I'm loving it so far! In this book, we learn more about Bianca, who we briefly met in book one, along with Matheus the bar tender and the Cougar Creek Coven. There's a good balance between developing the new characters, this book's story, and building on the story arc for the rest of the series. We also meet Jane, one of Bianca's sorority sisters, who looks to be the lead for the next book - which I can't wait to read.

Lotus: Big Easy Bound

Lotus: Big Easy BoundLotus: Big Easy Bound by Nikki Jacks
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Great follow up

In Lotus, our FMC ran away from her family in New Orleans and found happiness in Silver Springs. Now, she has to go back and face her family who are trying to cause more trouble, hoping to stop them forever. I love these characters, and I'm glad Maryn got more page time - I'd love to see her get her own book, someday! There was an inevitability to the ending, but I'm happy Lotus can continue her new life in peace!

Savaged - Santa Catalina University #4

Savaged (Santa Catalina University,#4)Savaged by Bianca Riley
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

One thing I love about shared universe series is getting to discover new authors that haven't previously been on my radar, and this is a great example.

Alissa has arrived at Santa Catalina University knowing that she's different, even for a supe. Add in several hot guys, a stalker and some mystery, and this is a fab read. Looking forward to seeing where Alissa's story goes next!

Shrouded in the Dark

Shrouded in the DarkShrouded in the Dark by Aspen Black
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I'm late to the party with this one, but I love the shared universe that Aspen Black and Jenn D Young are creating with these books.

Although each book can be read stand alone, there are plenty of cross overs between them. I'd already read Emerging from the Dark, so it was interesting to read this, knowing what happens there!

I love the larger than life heroines, and the protective alphas. There were a lot of mysteries and twists to keep you going, but there's a satisfying conclusion! I;m just curious where these guys will pop up next!

Oracle - Pack Prophecy #3

Oracle (The Pack Prophecy, #3)Oracle by R.L. Caulder
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Great finale!

This is the final book in the trilogy and deals with THAT cliffhanger from book 2! Throughout the book, Kira works to fulfil the prophecy, and also deepens the connection with each of her mates. With any RH, where there's more than 3 or 4, it can be hard to make sure that all the mates get page time and distinct characters, but they do. Are there ones I want to learn more about? Of course, but that can be the case even in an MF book! The solutions - trying not to give spoilers here! - weren't what I expected, but they worked well for the storyline, and gave it a great finale! Can we skip forward a few years for Morgan's story now, please?!
