Her Hidden Destiny - Hot Sulphur Springs #1

Her Hidden Destiny (#1)Her Hidden Destiny by Tami Payton
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Following the death of her father when she was a child - and which she witnessed - Celeste wants a fresh start, away from the mother and sister who have always blamed her.

She takes a job working for 3 insanely hot triplets, who happen to be shifters.

As ever, I love seeing humans discover that the supernatural world exists.

Woven round the mates storyline is a mystery story as well, that ends with a cliffhanger. This looks to be a series that will follow the same harem not multiple ones. And while there is a cliffhanger, there's only one obvious outcome, the fun will be getting there. I'm looking forward to seeing the how.

Seeking Snow Falls - Snow Falls Pride #1

Seeking Snow Falls (Snow Falls Pride #1)Seeking Snow Falls by Jenn D. Young
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Loved it!

I discovered Jenn D. Young through the Silver Springs universe, and this book has everything I've come to expect from her - a compelling plot, sympathetic characters, a lot of steam and a touch of MM within the harem. Laney is fleeing from an abusive ex, when she gets lost in a snow storm, and rescued by Connor, Adam and Cameron. She comes to terms with her new present fairly quickly, but then discovers that her past is closer than she realised. The book ends with a happy ever after for *this* harem, but also sets up a couple of follow up books as well, which I can't wait to read!

Within the Crystal - The Crystal Collection #1

Within the Crystal (The Crystal Collection #1)Within the Crystal by Kat Blak
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Fab new series

I found this while looking at next month's releases - the follow up is due out soon, so I thought I'd catch up! The characters are fun, although some are more developed that others - I get the sense this is intentional, and that they'll get their chance to shine in future. Alex is believable, alternating between confident in herself, and skittish around the guys. As for the guys, they all have different reactions to what's happening, again, all believable. Although I have ideas of what's happening, and where we're going, I'm not sure! I'm looking forward to the next installment!

Unlikely Reaper - Their Reaper #1

Unlikely Reaper (Their Reaper #1)Unlikely Reaper by Lacey Carter Andersen
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Fab intro to a new series

Just read this in preparation for the series starting proper next month, and I'm really looking forward to it!

We have a tough, conflicted heroine and 3 hot guys, none of whom quite know what the others are, which in Lacey Carter Andersen's hands is a recipe for a fantastic story!

Debauched - Blood Fire Saga Hades and Persephone #3

Debauched (Blood Fire Saga: Hades and Persephone #3)Debauched by Bella Klaus
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Wonderful end to the series

I have really enjoyed this twist on the Hades and Persephone myth, and this book is a fantastic end to the series. The action picks up right where the last book left off and keeps going for the entire book. Kora shows a strength and development that is amazing for someone who, less than a month ago, had only been interested in falling in love before she dies! It's also strange to think that so much action over the series took place is such a short space of time! I'll be keeping an eye out for more from this author in future!

Wild Girl (Real Wolves Bite, #3)Wild Girl by C.R. Jane

Calluna: Darkness Rising

Calluna: Darkness RisingCalluna: Darkness Rising by Jewels Arthur
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

She's back!

Calluna and the gang are back. She's loud and opinionated as ever, and her men are just as hot. I loved the new additions to her world, and I really felt for her when she thought she had only one option left. While I think Calluna's tale may be fully over, there's a lot of side characters I'd love to see explored further!

Alien Embrace : A Limited Edition Collection of Sci Fi Alien Romances

Alien Embrace : A Limited Edition Collection of Sci Fi Alien RomancesAlien Embrace : A Limited Edition Collection of Sci Fi Alien Romances by Celia Kyle
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Hot blue aliens!

This review is specifically for Glow Sticks by Mia Harlan and Sapphire Winters. I don't generally read alien/sci fi romance and RH, but I love Mia Harlan's quirky style so I thought I'd give this a go. Kira is relatable as a heroine, looking for a fresh start in a strange world. The action is fast, and her 3 mates are hot!

The rest of the book looks good, with a mix of prequels, previews and other related shorts. Based on this one, I'm looking forward to reading the rest of them!

Drunk on Love: A Paranormal Chick Lit Novel

Drunk on Love: A Paranormal Chick Lit NovelDrunk on Love: A Paranormal Chick Lit Novel by Mila Young

Loved it!

I'm loving the current trend for PWF, with more mature heroines, and this is no exception! After 20 years of marriage, Evette discovers her hubby is a werewolf, and goes into hiding, only to run into a retired God!

As always, I love seeing how humans react to learning about the supernatural hidden under their noses, and Evette's reactions are amongst the most relatable yet.

The book is stand alone, with a HEA, but I'd love Vicky and her 2 boyfriends to get their own story!

Karma's Spirit - Magical Midlife in Mystic Hollow #3

Karma's Spirit (Magical Midlife in Mystic Hollow Book 3)Karma's Spirit by Helen Scott
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Loving this series!

This is the third book from Mystic Hollow, and with each, I grow to love the characters more. It's slow burn on the romance side, but all the relationships - friendship and romantic - are well developed, so there's no need to rush the steam! I love that we've gone full circle, back to sort out what happened at the start of book one to allow Emma to move forward, as well as opening up further questions about who and what she is to Mystic Hollow. No cliffhanger as such, this particular story is wrapped up by the end of the book, although it does set the next book up nicely. Can't wait to see where this takes us!

The Prophecy of The Water Sprite

The Prophecy of the Water SpriteThe Prophecy of the Water Sprite by K. Rose
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Sweet, original faerie tale

I've read a lot of faerie tale retellings over the last few years, but this is the first book I've read that appears to be a unique faerie tale in its own right.

It does feel a little slow to begin with, but you come to realise that everything that happened was necessary to get them to where they needed to be.

And of course, as a faerie tale, they all lived happily ever after!

Moonlit Diamond - Moonlit Falls #10

Moonlit Diamond (Moonlit Falls, #10)Moonlit Diamond by Whimsy Nimsy
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

More fun in Moonlit Falls

This is another fun tale in the Moonlit Falls series. We've already met Diamond, her guys, and her pet spider Frank as cameos in other books, so it's great to finally get to know them properly. As always, I love to see the various ways humans react to learning about the supernatural world, and I can totally relate to Dia's reaction! The backgrounds we learn about all the characters are fascinating, and I'd love to learn more about those backgrounds - prequel books, please?

Serpentine - J. Kearston

SerpentineSerpentine by J. Kearston
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Worth sticking with it

This book took me a little longer than normal to get into - although I think this is testament to how well written Risa's back story is written. She's had a tough life - abusive family, controlling boyfriend, and starts the book abducted and shoved into s a stranger's trunk. It's not comfortable. It was worth sticking with it though. Risa grows and learns her truth, thanks to her 3 mates - who themselves grow and develop. The story is compelling and puts a unique slant on some of the mythology we've loved. The book is a standalone, no pesky cliffhangers to worry about, but I'd love to see the world expanded into future books!

Moonlit Danburite - Moonlit Falls #9

Moonlit Danburite (Moonlit Falls, #9)Moonlit Danburite by Roseyk Klayborn
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Another fun book from Moonlit Falls.

It has a slightly different feel from the rest of the series for me - I think mostly because Dani lives outside of town and has a very formal way of speaking that gives her an old fashioned, otherworldy feel. She has a wonderful combination of mates, and I want my own arach now, too! This was a sweet, fun read, and I'd love to follow up on their story.
